€50.00
The black cherry plum, Prunus ‘Pissardii Nigra’, is a medium-sized, deciduous, ornamental tree with dark purplish-black branches and twigs. The leaves are red, turning purple in summer and red and orange in autumn. It has pale pink single flowers in March, a good pollen and nectar source for bees. Sometimes it produces small red cherry plums, which are edible, and a good food source for birds. Easy to grow and adaptable, good in urban conditions, it’s an excellent ornamental tree.
