Prunus laurocerasus Rotundifolia – Cherry Laurel

A very common hedge as it is evergreen, hardy and extremely reliable, big glossy green leaves and white flowers later turning into red seeds, it can be pruned to ground level and it will regrow as good as new. The only downside is that it is toxic so consideration to livestock is important when planting.

Position: Full sun or partial shade
Soil:       Well-drained soil – Dislikes waterlogged soil leaves turn yellow and the plant dies
Hardiness: Hardy
Height: Can be pruned to desired height for hedging purposes
