Plum ‘Mallard’

Mallard is an old, good quality dessert plum. Its red coloured fruits have a slight white bloom. The Flesh is yellow, with a delicious flavour and they are very sweet and juicy. They are best eaten straight from the tree.

Site: prefers a sheltered site, and a location where it won’t get morning sun to protect the blossom from frost.

Soil: Any well-drained soil with plenty of organic matter added

Flowering:  stunning Fragrant   white blossom in April – loved by bees
