Pear ‘Geiser Wildeman’
This Dutch pear is an excellent cooking variety, its skin is very firm, ripening from green to yellow, and is sometimes covered in brown russet and red-orange blush. Underneath the surface, the flesh is ivory to white, coarse, aromatic, and moderately juicy.
Site: prefers a sheltered site, and a location where it won’t get morning sun to protect the blossom from frost.
Soil: Any well-drained soil with plenty of organic matter added
