(Mentha suaveolens) – Apple mint
Apple Mint is easy to grow and should be contained otherwise it will run riot in the garden.
It likes a rich well-drained soil in the sun, where it will eventually reach 60cm (2ft)
In the kitchen
Bruised apple mint leaves added to a glass of ice water with lemon make a lovely summer drink. Dried apple mint leaves can be used to make a warm tea, fresh leaves can be sprinkled on desserts.
