Gaillardia ‘Kobold’ (Blanket Flower)

This beautiful plant has dazzling daisy-like flowers with yellow-tipped red petals all summer long. It can be planted as a standalone plant in a sunny border or planted in a container on the patio where it can be enjoyed. It can even be used as a cut flower indoors. It is another firm favourite of bees and pollinating insects.  Cut plants back after flowering to prolong their lives.

Soil: Almost any soil- dislikes waterlogged soil

Hardiness: Hardy but may need frost protection in a hard winter in inland gardens.
