Corylus avellana ‘Rode Zellernoot’ – Hazelnut Tree

The ‘Rode Zellernoot’ is a tree that is highly valued for both its fruit and its ornamental display. The decorative leaves are large and finely serrated; they emerge wine-red and fade to a deep green colour. The main feature of this tree is of course the edible nuts; they are ready for harvest in late summer and are a really unique crimson-red colour.
