A relative of pampas grass C. fulvida is a species from wet habitats in New Zealand. It has large, gracefully curving silver-brown flower panicles, pink-tinged when young, above the arching foliage, it is a tall growing plant and looks beautiful growing on its own where it can be appreciated.
Cut back old, flowered stems and dead foliage at the base in late winter.
