This tall-growing perennial with its deep blue bell-shaped flowers makes a welcome addition to the back of the border where it adds a cooling effect next to red and pink flowering plants. It is very easy to grow, it dies down completely in winter reappearing again in Spring. Slugs and snails can be a problem.
