Apple ‘Gala’

The apples on this tree are covered in a thin yellow to orange skin, highlighted with pink to red stripes that vary in hue depending upon the apple’s maturity. Their dense flesh is creamy yellow and crisp, offering a mildly sweet flavour. It is the most extensively grown tree in the world.

Site: prefers a sheltered site, and a location where it won’t get morning sun to protect the blossom from frost.
