Agapanthus. Brilliant Blue – African lily

This variety of African lily looks spectacular in a border, but can be outstanding if planted in a large pot on the patio. Its green strap-like foliage hugs the soil while the slender stems hold the heads of its large blue flowers. Feed it weekly with tomato food from March until October and it will repay with magnificent blooms.

Position: Full sun.

Soil: Good Fertile soil – dislikes waterlogged soils
